Librela for Dogs
What is Librela and How It Works?
Librela is a monoclonal (laboratory-produced protein) antibody therapy designed to relieve osteoarthritis pain in dogs by targeting nerve growth factor (NGF), a protein involved in chronic pain such as Osteoarthritis. By blocking NGF, Librela helps prevent pain signals from reaching the brain, reducing discomfort in affected joints. Because it is made from canine-specific proteins, it is tailored for dogs and generally carries a low risk of immune reactions, although a small number of dogs may develop antibodies that can lessen its effectiveness.

Solensia for Cats
What is Solensia and how does it work?
Solensia is an antibody therapy developed for cats to manage pain associated with osteoarthritis. It acts by selectively binding to nerve growth factor (NGF), a key mediator of pain signaling and inflammation within arthritic joints, thereby inhibiting transmission of pain signals and helps manage osteoarthritis (OA) pain. Although Solensia does not reverse the underlying progression of osteoarthritis, it can significantly improve comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life in affected cats.
Blood Pressure Checks
Regular blood pressure checks are a simple but important part of preventive care for senior cats and dogs. As pets age, they are at higher risk of developing high blood pressure (hypertension), which often has no obvious early signs but can quietly damage vital organs such as the eyes, kidneys, heart, and brain.
Routine monitoring allows detection of problems early and begin treatment before serious complications occur.
Just like in people, early detection and management of hypertension can help senior pets maintain better health, comfort, and quality of life as they age.
